Winners of World Blitz Chess Championship 2022
Norwegian chess grandmaster Magnus Carlsen and Khazatisthan's International Master (IM) Bibisara Assaubayeva are the winners of the World Blitz Chess Championship 2022. In the Men's category, the second and third prizes were awarded to two different players,
USA's Hikaru Nakamura ,Armenia's Haik Martirosyan respectively.In women's category , the second and third prizes were awarded to
Grand Master Koneru Humpy of India, Polina Shuvalova of Russia
It is the sixth World Blitz championship tile for Magnus.Carlsen has scored 16 points in the World Blitz Chess championship 2022. The silver medalist GM Hikaru Nakamura got 15 points and bronze medalist on tiebreak, GM Haik Martirosyan also got 15 points but he was having an inferior tiebreak score.
In the women's category ,the gold medalist Assaubayeva Bibisara got 13 points in the championship.India's Koneru got 12.5points and the bronze medalist Shuvalova got 12points in the World Blitz Chess Championship 2022.
India's GrandMaster Harikrishna Pentala(rank 17 with 13 points) and Grand Master Nihal Sarin (rank 18 with 13 points) are the other two Indians who got in to the first 20 ranks of World Blitz Championship 2022
In the women's category international master Padmini Rout (rank 17 with 10.5points) was the only other Indian to rank among the top 20 players in the final standings.
