 The 28 year old Commonwealth and Asian Games gold medalllist and Olympic bronze winner ,Bajrang Punia won the bronze medal in the men’s 65kg on the final day of the World Wrestling Championships 2022, on Sunday




The bronze medal Punia got on September 2022 Worlds Wrestling Championship was his  fourth medal at the world championships. In the history of wrestling in India, Punia is the only freestyle wrestler to win 4 medals at the World Wrestling Championships. With a silver medal in 2018 and one bronze medals in 2013 and 2019 respectively , made him the most successfull wrestler in World Wrestling Championship

Bajrang Punia , is a  Common Wealth Game gold winner  in the 2018 and 2022 games. He is a Indian freestyle wrestler, who competes in the 65-kg weight category. Hailing from the state of Haryana, the boy from  Khudan village of Jhajjar district started wrestling at the age of seven. Punia is married to wrestler Sangeeta Phogat Punia and he he works in the Indian Railways on the post of Gazetted officer OSD Sports.
