Details of Cricket Career of Smriti Mandhana

Now a core member of the Indian team across all formats of the game, Smriti was a cricket passionate girl in her childhood days. Smriti watched her father and brother both playing crickets for the the district levels games, which increased the passion for cricket in the earlydays of Smrithi. She chased her passion and at 9 years of age she was selected to play in Under-15 team of Maharashtra Cricket. Two years later she was on among the selected girls in Under - 19 team for Maharastra Cricket.

2013 marked the major breakthrough in her cricket life by becoming the first Indian woman player in cricket to bag a double-hundred(224* off 150 balls) in a one-day game against Gujarath in the West Zone Under-19 tournament at the Alembic Cricket Ground , Vadodara

The Test debut on 13 August 2014 against England and the ODI debut on 10 April 2013 against Bangladesh and the T20I debut on 5 April 2013 against Bangladesh are the three major debut date in the cricket career of Smrithi, when she turned from her passion to dream to a big canvas of cricket.

In 2016 Women's Challenger Trophy, Smrithi scored 192 runs becoming the top scorer of the match.Same year September, she was signed with Brisbane Heat for the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) along with hae teammate Harmanpreet Kaur. The maiden century of the cricketer was in the second ODI game of Indian Women team's tour of Australia in 2016 where she scored 102 runs off 109 balls.She was the only Indian player in the ICC Women's Team in the Year 2016.

She became the fastest fifty scorer of India in Women's T20Is from 24 balls against New Zealand, in February 2018. In the March, the following month, she became the player of the series for the 3 WODI(Women ODI) matches played in England.

Smrithi was selected for the ICC World Cups in 2017 and 2022.In 2022 ICC WorldCup , she as a batsman made India reach the finals of the 2017 World Cup, but the Indian Women lost out to England in the finals.
